Details of Life on the Road: Street eats, cheap sleeps, budget travel experiences

I’ll Be Back Shortly After March 1st!

Well folks, today I start my ten day Vipassana Buddhist meditation retreat. I’ll be offline and unavailable from February 18th until March 1st. Vipassana is one of India’s oldest meditation techniques. It means to see things how they really are, and it is a way of self-transformation through self-observation. One of the main aims is to eradicate suffering. It’s a silent course, no talking for ten days. Moreover, there is no touching, no reading, no writing, no music, no outside food, and meditation is necessary for 10 hours each day. I’m a little nervous, and a little excited to see what will happen. It’s a very popular course here in India, as well as worldwide. Wish me luck!
